The Setasilk range is used like a traditional silk paint and is suitable for all types of silk, including twill, pongee, crêpe de Chine, georgette and damask silk. Ready to use, fully mixable and easily heat-set by ironing or steaming, these colors preserve the softness, luminosity and finesse of the fabric. Their fluid consistency allows pigments to spread naturally, creating rich and refined effects.

Setasilk supports all major silk painting techniques, including gutta outlining, salt effects, watercolor washes, wax batik, sun-printing and traditional methods such as mahaju. The lightening medium makes it possible to create softer shades, while water-based gutta—available in clear, pearlescent and opaque versions—facilitates precise lines and delicate patterns. For best results, application is recommended on silk stretched on a frame or laid on padding to prevent distortion.

Available in 19 Setasilk colors and complemented by 6 water-based guttas, the range offers a wide variety of shades and creative effects. Offered in 45 ml bottles and in sets, Setasilk meets the needs of both beginners and experienced silk painters for creating scarves, ties, accessories and decorative artworks.
